Course Catalog

Odyssey Charter High School Course Catalog

The OCHS course catalog is your guide to everything a student studies from grade 9 through graduation. Use it to plan a path that fits your student, including required courses, AP and dual enrollment options, the seven Career and Technical Education pathways, and the academic and arts pathways that round out an OCS education.

How to Use This Course Catalog

Course selections at OCHS are a partnership between students, families, teachers, and school counselors. Each year students request the courses they want to take. Final placement depends on graduation progress, prerequisites, test scores, and pathway requirements.

The OCS Standard

Graduation Requirements

Exceeding the Minimum.

OCHS students graduate with 25 credits, one credit above the Delaware state minimum, plus 40 hours of community service. The OCS difference is a three-credit Greek Language and Studies sequence that no other Delaware high school requires.

Greek Language

OCHS students complete three credits of Greek Language and Studies. Students who enter in 9th grade complete two acquisition credits. Returning OCS students enroll in Greek Studies coursework.

Community Service

40 hours applies to the Class of 2028 and after. The Class of 2027 must complete 30 hours, and Class of 2026 must complete 20. 90 hours qualifies for the Delaware Volunteer Credit.

Career Pathway

9th graders select two introductory CTE courses. In 10th grade, students declare their pathway and cannot change it thereafter. This ensures completion of the three-credit graduation requirement.
