At the middle school, we believe every student should feel supported, valued, and challenged to do their best. Our goal is to create a school where students feel comfortable taking risks, learning from mistakes, and growing both academically and personally. We work hard every day to build strong relationships with our students because we know that students learn best when they feel connected to the people around them.
Our teachers and staff are committed to helping students succeed while creating a positive and welcoming environment. We celebrate growth, encourage curiosity, and look for ways to make learning engaging and meaningful. We are always looking for ways to improve, and we value feedback, collaboration, and new ideas that help us better serve our students.

Standard
Arrival: 7:15 - 7:25 AM
Dismissal: 2:20 - 2:30 PM
Car Line
Morning: 7:15 - 7:25 AM
Afternoon: 2:20 - 2:30 PM
Car Line Procedures
All cars must enter and exit from Lancaster Pike. Use both lanes and merge at the roundabout. The car line turns into three lanes at the roundabout. Please follow your building's designated car line times. Arriving too early creates congestion and traffic on campus.
Texting and cell phone use is not permitted while driving on campus. Buses have the right of way on campus — please let them go first.

Middle School Academics
Named the number one public middle school in Delaware by Niche.com, OCS Middle School is where the classical Hellenic education model reaches its full stride. Greek language instruction deepens across all three years.
Students are assigned to honors and regular Greek language classes based on their proficiency level.
Grade 6 students receive five hours of Greek instruction per week alongside Greek Visual Arts and Greek Culinary Arts.
Deepen proficiency through Greek Mythology integrated into ELA and visual arts.
Exploration begins formally giving early exposure to the six pathways.
