College and Career Ready From Day One
OCS High School serves students in Grades 9 through 12 in Building 23. Every program, every course, and every graduation requirement is designed with one goal in mind: sending graduates into the world fully prepared for what comes next.
OCS graduates have been admitted to universities across 22 states, earned more than $5 million in cumulative merit scholarships, and left high school with up to 60 college credits already completed. The 100% graduation rate is not an accident. It is the result of a school wide commitment to every student.
Building on the Foundation: By the time an OCS student reaches high school they have spent years building something most high school students arrive without. Greek language proficiency. Classical thinking skills. A Filotimo rooted sense of responsibility to themselves, their community, and the world.
High school at OCS does not start over. It accelerates. The Greek language foundation reaches Advanced Mid proficiency by graduation. The academic habits developed across K-8 become the tools students use to succeed in AP courses, dual enrollment, and college level work.
Curriculum and
Instruction
OCS High School curriculum is rigorous, standards based, and designed to challenge every student at their level. Core academic instruction is aligned to Common Core State Standards. Greek language instruction is aligned to ACTFL K to 12 Proficiency Guidelines with a target of Intermediate High to Advanced Mid proficiency by graduation.
Research consistently confirms that bilingual students demonstrate stronger cognitive development and academic performance across disciplines. OCS Immersion students outperform state peers by 140 to 200% in ELA and Math, reflecting the academic power of Greek language acquisition at work throughout the K-12 journey.
OCS operates a 1:1 Chrome policy throughout high school, ensuring every student has the technology tools they need for coursework, research, and college preparation.

Graduation Requirements

A Work Based Learning internship in senior year gives every graduate real world experience before they leave high school.

Greek Language at
High School
Greek language mastery is the capstone of the OCS K-12 experience. All OCS students are required to complete three Greek language credits to graduate, one credit above Delaware's standard two-credit requirement. For students entering OCS at the high school level, at least two of those three credits must be earned in Greek Language courses.
Students are placed in Greek language courses based on their assessed proficiency level. Three course levels are available, spanning Ancient Greece to modern Greece, covering Greek contributions to math, science, philosophy, and politics. Advanced Grade 12 students may pursue an Independent Study option.
For a prospective family this is one of the most powerful differentiators OCS can offer. Your child could graduate with an internationally recognized Greek language certification (Ellinomatheia).
