Reporting an Absence
If your child will be absent or arriving late, please call the main office on the day of the absence.
Call 302-516-8000Written Note Required
Students must bring a written note from a parent or guardian upon returning to school to excuse the absence.
3+ Days Absent
If absent for three or more consecutive days, a doctor's note is required upon return. Parent notes are not sufficient.
School Hours
Please follow your child's building level arrival times exactly. Arriving too early creates congestion on campus.

Dismissal & Early Pick Up
All dismissal changes must be submitted in writing and sent to the school with your child no later than the morning of the change.Phone calls, emails, and faxes are not accepted.
Emergency Changes
Handled only until 2:00 PM by calling 302-516-8000.
Cutoff Times
No early dismissals after 2:45 PM (Lower/Intermediate) or 2:30 PM (Middle/High).
Pick Up ID Requirement
A valid photo ID must be shown when picking up a student from the office and in car line. Release only to written authorized adults.
Visiting Campus
All visitors must report to the main office to receive a visitor identification badge before going anywhere else in the building.
Parents may not go to their child's classroom while school is in session without an arranged meeting with the teacher.

- 3 Sign in and out at office
Forgotten Items
Label all dropped off items with your child's name and grade. Items are kept in the main office and teachers are notified.
Office staff will not interrupt class for forgotten items or messages. Same-day delivery is not guaranteed.

Notified via the Blackboard Connect system. Please ensure your contact info is current. Also check local radio stations or the official state website.
