Role of the School Nurse
The school nursing team supports the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of students and their success in the learning process. Nursing services include:
- Direct health care to students and staff
- Health services leadership
- Screening and referral for health concerns
- Promoting a healthy school environment
- Health promotion and education
- Leadership for health policies and programs
- Liaison between school personnel, family, community, and health care providers

Information and forms for managing your student's health conditions, allergies, or medication needs during the school day.
Food Allergies and Dietary
If your child has a food allergy, notify the school nurse before the first day of school. A doctor's note and Food Allergy Action Plan (FAAP) are required. Contact your campus nurse for a meeting.
